The Lost Loiners sprang from, and were then spurned by, Leeds RLFC. The first Touch Rugby sessions were held on the training pitch at Headingley in the 1980's as part of the Leeds RLFC "Loiners Guild". However, during the development of the ground in the 1990's And the ground sharing with the Tykes, we were moved to a local park and then, briefly to the new pitches at Kirkstall.

The flooding of the river Aire in the 90's closed the new pitches and the Loiners Touch Rugby Squad became officially homeless. We have trained at Abbey Grange High School on an all-weather pitch (not ideal!), on Armley Park, Roundhay Park, a Car Park!, Burley and eventually organised regular facilities at West Leeds Rugby Union Club. I then christened us well and truly "Lost" Loiners! The name has stuck and been used ever since.

Over the last few years we have trained at Morley RUFC, Scatcherd Lane, Morley, on Monday evenings. We have the use of a floodlit pitch in winter, changing rooms/showers and the clubhouse bar afterwards, which is convenient! We started using Tags instead of "Touch" about 4 years ago and the rest is history, as they say.
